What is pressotherapy?

Pressotherapy is a pneumatic compression technique that acts on the legs, abdomen, and arms to stimulate venous return and enhance the reabsorption of edema and tissue fluid. It is an effective alternative to manual lymphatic drainage.

How does it work?

Controlled compression system via a unit that inflates air into the different chambers of the suit (arms, legs, and abdomen). Pressure is applied progressively and sequentially to move lymph and improve venous return.

Lymphatic system and drainage

One function of the lymphatic system is to transport fats and toxins to the organs responsible for their elimination. Lymph circulates thanks to pressure generated by muscle contractions, breathing movements, and rhythmic arterial impulses. When this system is impaired, the body does not drain fluids properly. In these cases, pressotherapy helps restore drainage function.

Pressotherapy programs

MODE A
Designed to reproduce a physiotherapist’s lymphatic drainage massage. Indicated for heavy legs and relaxation massage. Inflation is slow and gradual.
Sequence: After selecting the area (whole body, legs and arms, or abdominal belt), it starts from the most distal areas: A → B → C → D. Each section is filled with air in 8 seconds, released, and the air circulates twice. Then, each section is filled with air in continuous 8-second sequences simultaneously.

MODE B
Designed for fluid retention and cellulite prevention. Sections inflate faster than in Mode A.
Sequence: After selecting the area, it starts from the most distal parts: A → B → C → D at higher speed.

MODE C – Combined program
Alternate inflation sequence:

1. Compression in section A (feet and hands).
2. Inflation of section C (forearm and calves).
3. Inflation of the lower abdomen (E).
4. Inflation of section B (wrist and ankle).
5. Inflation of section D (femur and biceps).
6. Cycle closes with inflation of the upper abdomen (E).
